The triangular area of Herzegovina between the towns of Čitluk, Čapljina and Ljubuški is one of BiH's most popular and wealthiest. Tourism here rests on the backbone of Međugorje (2), a small village in the center of this region. Each year, approx. one million pilgrims from around the world visit the unique shrine to Our Lady.
In addition to its religious tourism, this area is also well known for its production of high quality wine (1), the unique waterfalls on the Trebižat River (3), of which the most famous are Kravice and Koćuša, the Franciscan monastery in Humac near Ljubuški (4), and the Roman Villa Mogorjelo (5) near Čapljina.
