The eastern part of BiH is a paradise for nature lovers and provides a vacation for the heart and soul. As a result of the mountainous landscape and, at times, inaccessible terrain, nature here has remained almost untouched.
The natural pearls of this area are the clear Tara River and the Sutjeska National Park (2). Rafting the Tara (1), one of the most beautiful adventures one can have in BiH, takes place in that river's deep canyon.
Sutjeska National Park (NP) represents one of the most diverse and complex ecosystems in Southeast Europe, and is certainly the largest in BiH. The park encompasses portions of the Maglić, Volujak and Zelengora mountains, as well as the Perućica nature reserve.
